My 2010 Summer Adventure

Last summer in the year 2010 my family decided to have a trip to Cebu. I thought Cebu was a boring place to travel but I was wrong. Cebu was one of the best places I have ever gone to. We went to the different places until we get tired. We went to Chinese temple and had a fun side seeing. We also went to Simala, a church like castle. We were able to see the things of the disabled persons (crutches, wheel chair, thank you letters, and many more) that they left after they were miraculously healed. We attended the mass and bought some souvenirs and we roamed around the whole place. Then, we traveled to Leyte to visit my grandfather and cousins. A day after we traveled the holy places in Leyte, like the Hanginan and Monte Cueva Cave in Maasin. After a couple of days we decided to go to Gunhuban Falls and we had a lot of fun swimming. We had a lot of fun traveling during that summer and it is one of the best memories which I will never forget.

Wonder Women! :D

                                                Cheska Martinez
"Always there for me when I need help and accepts me for who I am."

Aya Bayting
"She is always there to support me in everything that I do."

                                                   Alerie Gimeno
"Gives me strength when I get weak."

They are the people whom I really value because they really made me feel special. They always lifted me up when I am sad, always there to cheer me up when I feel alone, persons whom I can really rely on whenever I need help. They lend their shoulders with no doubt when I cry, understands what's inside my heart and they accept me for who I am. I know sometimes we may have some misunderstandings but we really tried to settle it right away, because we always believe in the strength of our friendship. Because of them I understand the true meaning of friendship. We support one another and we really make sure that we really treat each other equally. We give also advises which is very helpful both academic and personal life. I just want to let them know that I really love them and they will always have a special place here in my heart.

"The language of friendship is not words but meanings."

Journalism.. Journalism.. Journalism...

"The journey to a million miles begins step in a single" this line guided me when I first got into my journalism class. At first I asked, "Can I handle this? How? It might be a tough subject". But as we progressed, I realized that journalism is fun. It brings us out of our classroom. It makes us updated with current events. Posting blogs are also really fun. I learned to be creative and imaginative. With the support of our teacher(Paul Vincent Java GeraƱo), I was able to enjoy the class, make learning fun and realize how mass media influenced our lives.

Our journalism class is not only a training but also an avenue for us to exchange ideas and express ourselves freely. I appreciate very much how our teacher in journalism hates wrong grammar. That is a challenge for us to be conscious about the the technicalities in writing and answering. Our journalism class is an exciting class. Every now and then. We are exposed to challenging write ups were we need to exhaust our hidden knowledge. We are also trained to be independent and believe in ourselves. In the long run one of us might be the future writers in our society.

Studying journalism is like a journey. Along the way you met challenges but that what makes us a better person. Our writing skills is developed, honed and perfected. In the loving hands of our teacher we are molded and crafted to become good writers. Our journey becomes easy because we are made ready. No matter what obstacles along the way, we are already seasoned and equipped with skills needed to combat life difficulty. Thanks to our journalism class, we became writers of our own stories.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."

Meine Familie

This is me with my Dad and Ate Krisha. Sharing the story of my family begins with how I look at each in everyone.
My father is always been and inspiration. I always look up him as a man of dignity. A person with strong determination to build a bright future for all of us. Despite he is always away he makes sure that he always communicates with us. From time to time he calls and shares his loneliness and happiness abroad. When I am with him I felt secure because I know that I am in the caring hands of my father. I always live with his principles in life to do good and show the best that you can.

This is my Mom. A woman of strength and courage. She lightens up my day, her inspiring words add color to my day. A loving mother who makes sure everything is okay. She is always there for me no matter what. Despite my wrong doings she's there to forgive me. A very supportive mom who tries to give everything that I need. A positive minded person who looks at the brighter side of life. When I am weary and down she lifts me up. She encourages me to show my best and be the best person I can be.

This is my Kuya Lucky. His artistic inclination inspired me a lot. Actually, he is my idol. Despite he is the only boy in the family, he remained humble and kind. When I needed help, he is there for me. His diligence in studies motivates me to strive hard. A strong person whom I can rely to. He is always been my mentor, corrects me when I am wrong and appreciates what I have done. Now that he is away from us, I miss him so much. I miss the day that we were together sharing joyful moments and cracking jokes. I am optimistic that he could find a good future abroad because of his determination and perseverance in work.

This is my Ate Krisha. My best friend and my buddy. We share our secrets together. Being the kind soul she was, she would give things to me, even her most prized possessions. When I am sad she made me happy. When I am down she cherish me. A person whom I can share my inner most thoughts because I know she is always ready to lend a listening ear. She gives me strength when I lack one. She also gives me courage when I am depressed. Most of all she is my adviser, counselor and even a lawyer that could defend me.

This is my family; the wind beneath my wings...

Azkals VS. Kuwait

I am not really an avid fan of Azkals. But since I am a Filipino I want them to win to give honor to our country and regain its good name in the field of sports. To the Azkals Good Luck to your next game.

Rhythm

Whenever I'm sad and lonely, music is there to cheer me up. Whenever I'm sleepy and feeling weary, music is there to bring me back to joy. And when things get rough, music is there to add color to my day. If you are not feeling alright music is there for you through the night.
What a wonderful day music could bring to you and me.

A Friend in Need, is a Friend in Deed :)

The true test of friendship is when the two of you is placed in a difficult situation. There are times that you will be separated by distance, or lack of communication. But a true friend, never keeps out of track. A true friend always find ways to keep in touch and always offer a helping hand when one is in need. You may not see each other for quite a long time, but you know that your true friend is still there. A shadow that never fades through thick and thin.

A Roller Coaster Ride

They say, life is like riding a roller coaster. Sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down. Trials and problems may come along the way. But, these are all trials to test our patience and trust to God. In every trial, stay focused, don't be carried away by difficulties. Instead stand up and enjoy the roller coaster ride of your life.

Keep Calm and eat chocolates :D

A mouth watering snack which everyone will surely like. Take a bite and feel the sweet taste. Truly, you'll enjoy eating one.

Rain.. Rain.. Go away, come again another day!

Rainy Days is here again. It reminds me of the hot soup my mother usually prepares for us. Hmmm, Yummy! Wondering, if our less fortunate brothers and sisters have a place to stay. Do they have enough food to eat? Or are we still safe for the possible flood and outbreak of diseases brought about by unclean surroundings? These thoughts came into my mind every rainy day. Hoping that we are all safe and sound as we face the new weather. Oops, don't forget to bring your umbrellas. Flu is just around the corner.

RH Bill

RH Bill is one of the most popular issue these days. There has been a series of issues and debates whether to approve this bill or not. As a Roman Catholic, I am anti RH Bill because it promotes abortion and destroys the sanctity of procreation.

Mother Earth Needs Us.

Mother Earth is pleading. She needs us...We need to do something before it's too late.. Let's help save this sanctuary given by God. No other place in this world can give us the luxury and convenience that Mother Earth can afford to give.

Bruno Mars :')

I am one of the million fans of Bruno Mars because I like his choice of songs and I can easily relate to its message.

Will poverty end?

This is a real proof of how poor our country is. Despite the towering condominiums and extravagant town houses, on the other side of the picture our poor countrymen are suffering from congestion and extreme poverty. President Aquino, what can you do about this? Is this the "matuwid na daan?"
